Key West 2009

Please Note:

While there is no homework for technology class, students that may have been absent or did not get to complete assignments in class have to make up the work. There is a workbook with tabs for each day at the bottom that will show you what happened in class each day. Every day or two, the spreadsheets are updated to reflect new class work and graded assignments.

The workbooks with these spreadsheets, one for each week of the school year, will be posted in the location below. Please click the link to see what you or your child has missed. This is especially important if the student has been absent.

Work in Progress...

As always, a web site is an ongoing project. There is always something to do. The "resources" page will be constantly updated as well as the Calendars/Schedules section of the "curriculum" page. The "student projects" page will need to be updated often to include new projects. The "About" page still needs to be constructed. Most of the links work, with the exception of the "About" page. Please let us know if you find broken links.

Please feel free to send me an email if you would like to make any suggestions for the web site. The email link is below where it says "please let us know"and also here. Just click on it.

Uses for the Tech site

The Tech site is the instrument to disseminate information to students and parents/guardians. In addition to the links to the information on the left, there are links to see the curriculum and/or the learning matrix for each of the grades. Grading policies are posted and lesson plans for each week are posted every Sunday or Monday morning.

The student projects page has samples of student work. Here you can see what they are creating by what they learn in this class and/or interdisciplinary projects. Links to different sources they can use to learn more about certain subject such as HTML design, Javascript, or robotics is under the "Resources" page.

Most of all, this will be a tool of communication so you can get answers to questions you may have about anything that involves the technology class and more.
