This page will list grading policies for technology, projects currently under way, the delivery dates, and other pertinent information. Please feel free to contact the instructor with any questions you may have. You will be helping to make this site more complete so it can answer more questions that undoubtedly other parents/guardians have as well. Please Note:Missing Work remains due beyond the end of a grading term. Projects are always timed to allow at least a week before the term grades are due for the end of the period. Grading PoliciesThe Technology grading policy is rather simple. There is no homework, therefore all grades are from work that should have been completed in class. In some cases, especially with larger projects, sufficient time is given to the students to complete a project using class time. The time that is allowed is determined with collaboration with administration and the technology instructor. Usually students are allowed another week (or in some cases even two,) before the project must be delivered. During that period, students must work on their own during the Extended School Day. At that time, the project must be delivered. Instructions are given to students for the delivery protocol (file format if necessary, filename convention—usually the student's first name and the last initial without any spaces or other symbols,—and the network location i.e. folder). Week 1: A student can deliver an assignment for seven calendar days after the time outlined above for full credit (100% of the grade s/he deserves for the work completed). Week 2: If an assignment is delivered the 8th through the 14th day after the delivery date, the grade is reduced to 75% of the grade the student would get if the assignment had been turned on time. Week 3: 15 — 21 days after the scheduled delivery date: The percentage of the grade is reduced to 50%. Week 4: More than 3 weeks after the scheduled delivery date: It has been a month since the first date that delivery was originaly cheduled by now. The instructor has repeatedly asked for the project and/or reminded the student. A couple of progress reports (the end of a term notwithstanding,) have been distributed showing the assignment missing and a reduced grade. The maximum grade will remain at 50% but not past the end of the then current term. Projects remain due and must be completed regardless. Current Projects:Please see the "Projects" page.
