GCA In The News
" For anyone old enough to remember using cameras that operated with film, she was moving the film from its canister to a developing tank. Kara, 13, is in Gulf Coast's after-school film photography class. And as an eighth-grader, since she has opted to take the class each year, this is her third time. "I really enjoy expressing myself creatively, and photography is a really good way to do that," she said. "I've done digital photography before, and I find doing this gives me a closer relationship to the photography, and it shows passion because this shows you really want to do it.""

GCA Students Prepare Remote-Controlled Submarines
" The little machine with the tiny thrusters whirled about in the water, guided remotely by a Gulf Coast Academy student. The student was trying to maneuver it around obstacles in a big, blue 300-gallon tub of water. Gulf Coast students took turns moving their ROVs, or remote-controlled vehicles — in this case, submarines — through the water, testing what they had built."

Geology Lesson in the Cave
The Gulf Coast Academy seventh-graders trudged along a sandy path through the Withlacoochee State Forest in Citrus County for about half a mile last week, excited about their first chance to get down in the dirt and crawl into caves.

Love the school administration, curriculum, everything is awesome. The knowledge and experiences my son has been exposed to are truly a blessing! Very sad you end at 8th grade.
We feel secure in having our son attend Gulf Coast Academy. He is well cared for and cared about. Thank you. He is continually being challenged academically and is learning a greater role of responsibility.
As parents, we are very pleased with GCA and look forward to another successful year. We can’t thank you enough for providing an atmosphere that encourages learning in a fun and positive way.
GCA is the best school my kids have attended in Hernando County. The staff is great with kids and gives them the utmost respect.
