6th graders Megan F and Noah B prepare the area for their first semester garden project. The students, under the direction of Master Gardeners from the Hernando County Extension Service, will learn how to grow vegetables in an “EarthBox” - a gardening system that can be used in suburban areas and requires very little water or fertilizer. This gardening method also prevents fertilizer run-off, a source water pollution in Florida.
